Enter your art in the Annual Juried ExhibitionJuried Show 2020 1


The Annual Juried Show is a major highlight at the AGB. This year, the exhibition will run from November 30, 2022 to January 21, 2023. The opening reception will take place on Friday, December 2 at 7:30 pm. 

The winner of Best in Show in 2021 had this to say about her experience:

"I want you to know how much I appreciated receiving the main prize for the 2021 juried show. The money that accompanies this is fantastic and the experience has been so very encouraging for me. Thanks so much to all your volunteers and also the jurors for the work that they do. The former have been so welcoming and helpful whenever I have visited. How to enter the 40th Annual Juried Invitational Exhibition

  • Complete the AGB Juried Show Entry forms.

  • Submit current, original works. 

  • Pay the entry fee of $15 per entry, or $5 per entry for students (grades 9 – 12)

 

All entries are eligible for the Town of Bancroft Best in Show Award, including a $500 prize!

 

Exhibition Rules

  • Original and current work only, completed in the last 18 months, not previously shown in an AGB show and not completed under instruction. Artists may enter up to four works. A maximum of two pieces, if accepted, will be juried into the show.

  • All work is not to exceed 40 inches in any direction, including frame. All work must be finished, dry, labeled and ready to hang or ready for presentation or it will not be accepted into the show. Affix the labels provided on the second page of the guidelines to the back of the piece. Label to include artist name, address, telephone number, email address, title of work, medium, price (or Not for Sale) and size. All work will be inspected by Gallery volunteer for the above criteria upon delivery

  • All wrapping materials for work must be removed and taken home by the artist upon delivery.

  • 35% commission on all sales is retained by the Gallery.

  • The Gallery reserves the right to exclude any work for any reason.

  • All work is insured while it remains in the possession of the Art Gallery of Bancroft.

Remember to bring the completed forms along with your work.
Pick up works not accepted

Show opens to public December 2, 2022  
Opening reception December 2, 2022 at 7:30pm  
Show closes January 23, 2023  
Pick up exhibited work after show closes January 26, 2023 to January 29, 2023
between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Gallery will be closed for the months of February and March, 2023.
The Gallery is not responsible for work not picked up by the specified dates.

Your work will be categorized by the jurors into the following categories which include oil, acrylic, watercolour, oil sticks, gouache, pastel, graphite, ink, charcoal, fibre, mixed media, photography, digital art, printmaking, two and three dimensional sculpture:
