The AGB supports the arts in our rural community. The goal of this event is to provide young, growing student artists with an opportunity to engage in aspects of the gallery world by submitting, readying, and showing their work in this exhibition.
We are excited to invite students to submit Two-Dimensional (2D) and Three-Dimensional (3D) artworks to our Third Annual Student Exhibition.
Who can participate?
Students between 13 to 19 who currently attend school, receive home schooling or virtual schooling in Hastings Prince Edward County HPEC and surrounding area. Students can submit their work on their own if their school isn’t taking part in the exhibition (check with your art teacher).

Henry Melissa Gordon (she/they) is a visual artist and educator, and a proud member of the LGBT2S+ community. Henry emigrated to Canada from South Africa as a child. Later she studied and worked in the UK for many years, then returned to Canada and graduated from the University of Waterloo MFA (Studio Art) program in 1999. Soon after that, she started a long journey of healing and self growth before returning to her art practice full-time six years ago. Henry worked for a dozen years as a workshop presenter and life coach at a retreat centre near Bancroft, Ontario and enjoys learning about peoples’ lives and perspectives. She has a deep interest in altered realities, and a love of the wilderness.
Henry currently lives in Guelph Ontario, on the traditional lands of the Attiwonderonk and Haudenosaunee, it is also the treaty land and territory of the Mississaugas of Credit First Nation. The city is beside the Haldimand Tract, and part of the traditional hunting grounds for the Six Nations of the Grand River. How to submit
Download, complete and submit the form to AGB.studentexhibition@gmail.com as a pdf by Friday, February 24, 2025 by 5pm. By submitting the form, you are confirming that you agree to the terms acknowledged in the Exhibition Waiver.
Teachers submitting for students
If you’re submitting for multiple students, kindly compile a submission of your students submitting artwork.
We recommend creating a shareable Google Document which students can complete with your guidance. One form for each piece.
Make your document shareable with AGB.studentexhibition@gmail.com so we can extract images for promotional purposes. We’ll take our own once we receive the physical works, but a few good ones for advertising would be appreciated!
When emailing the completed submission template, use the subject line “Your School – Student Exhibition Submission” (eg. “CSS – Student Exhibition Submission”)
Virtual or home schooled students submitting on your own
Please attach a jpg file of your work along with your completed submission form in one email.
When emailing the completed submission template, use the subject line “Your Name – Student Exhibition Submission” (eg. “Mary Williams – Student Exhibition Submission”).
