About the artist

I am an oil painter who listens to the canvas and is guided by the hand of my ancestors to help tell their stories. My paintings are based on the relationship between my ancestral roots and teachings from the Creator.

Nandotawa Tibikad (Listens to the Darkness) or by his colonial name, Connor Sarazin lives, plays and works on his traditional unceded Algonquin lands. He specializes in spiritual works of art. Connor’s work has been featured in magazine publications and used by organizations to accompany Indigenous Rights campaigns and in-house murals.

Connor aims to continue learning from the ancestors through the depictions of spirituality in his oils. You can see more of Connor’s work on his website: kiniwstudio.com
