A sunny day with beautiful clouds reminded me of my childhood days, laying on the grass with friends and searching the clouds for anything that resembled: – “something”.
I now have over 4 decades of working commercially and artistically within photography. Most of my artistic photography is about “impermanence” and now I was dealing with a constantly moving landscape. It took me out of my comfort zone and I loved it.
A year and a half later, these images represent a part of my ongoing journey. It is not over. I have more to learn.
Larry is a lifelong learner. Initial training included a Marketing Degree at Confederation College, Thunder Bay and an Honours Diploma in Creative Photography at Humber College, Toronto.
Upon graduation he joined the Art Gallery of Ontario as a photographer and within five years become Head Photographer at the AGO.
After 10 years at the AGO, he entered the commercial world of photography, specializing in photographing world-renowned sculptures and paintings for major art galleries and the production of many art books.
As of 2015, Larry has concentrated solely on projects of personal interest, the majority focused on the power of nature and it’s resilience through time.
His work has been featured in galleries throughout Ontario since 1974; including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Harbourfront Gallery/Toronto and others in Oakville, Balderson, Perth, Westport, Ottawa, Haliburton and Bancroft. Learn more about Larry here.
