Our Jurors

We were very lucky to have Chris Johnston and Bruce Cull jury the show this year.

Chris Johnston has degrees in Art History (Queen’s) and Education (University of Toronto). She taught art at the secondary level in Etobicoke and North Bay.

After retirement in 2002, Chris taught fine art (introductory studio, drawing, painting and art history) and art education at Nipissing University until 2016.  As a practicing artist, she has participated in numerous group and solo shows and has juried local and regional art competitions.

Bruce Cull graduated from OCAD U in 1972 with specializations in painting and printmaking. He pursued further studies at the University of Calgary before returning to Northern Ontario to raise his family of four children and to pursue his career as a professional artist.

Bruce has been the curator/director of the Temiskaming Art Gallery, has exhibited extensively in Ontario, Alberta and New York City. As a respected professional artist, he has won many awards and has juried many competitions in Northeastern Ontario.
