Whether a physical location, a psychological space, or a place hidden, the underneath seems always a rich and fertile ground. The Art Gallery of Bancroft welcomed emerging and established artists to respond to the theme Underneath.  The 24 pieces chosen reflect each artist’s unique interpretation of the theme. The resulting show brings together works of a diverse range of media and techniques, including sculpture, painting, drawing, textile, altered image, photography, and collage from artists across Ontario.

The revised timeline of the exhibition is now as follows:

- Friday April 23 and Saturday April 24, 2021 –drop off of selected work to the Art Gallery of Bancroft, 10 Flint Ave, Bancroft, ON.
- Wednesday May 5, 2021- show opens to the public
- Friday May 7, 2021 –Public Opening Reception, tentatively, depending on pandemic restriction
